Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform most of the basic engineering tasks as necessary for each project including zoning, equipment layout and coordination, heating/cooling load calculations, coordination with other team(s), etc.., with support.
  • During the design phase, you will prepare Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents in collaboration with other squad members, and senior team members as needed while applying relevant code knowledge to your system design and layout, with support.
  • During the agency approval phase, you will coordinate corrections to your plans/designs with the AHJ and other team members as needed in order to support project permitting, with support.
  • During the construction phase, you will provide Construction Administration services to aid in the execution of our design, with support.

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of current codes/standards for building projects within the State of California including: California           Mechanical Code, CALGreen Code, and California Energy Code, preferred
  • Training in BIM preferred; Revit MEP preferred
  • Excellent time management and project prioritization
  • Software skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office365 preferred
  • BSME degree, technical degree, or other industry specific work experience which demonstrates high levels of technical         capability
  • Engineer In Training Certificate strongly preferred
  • Growth mindset required
